Care Technician

Role overview

This full-time non-management position sits within Engineering & Facilities at a luxury hospitality property in Ummahat Island 1, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on responding to repair needs, keeping equipment in working order, and supporting a safe, well-maintained guest environment.

Key duties

• Handle guest repair requests and communicate with guests or customers to help resolve maintenance concerns.
• Carry out preventive upkeep on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually to identify issues early.
• Transport needed tools and devices, such as a radio or equipment items.
• Locate and operate shut-off valves for equipment when required.
• Track maintenance stock and request parts or supplies as needed.
• Document unresolved service calls before shift handover.

Safety, service, and conduct

• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Store flammable materials correctly and securely.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and respect confidentiality.
• Protect company assets and treat all guests courteously and with care.
• Support accessibility needs and deliver service aligned with company standards.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues, communicate clearly, and contribute to team goals.
• Perform additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Physical requirements

• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders as needed.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Preferred qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience are preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.
