Guide Woodworking Inc. is hiring a cabinetmaker for its woodworking operation in Mississauga, Ontario.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Prior experience is considered an asset.

Work Location

This position must be performed at the employer’s physical site. Remote work is not available.

Work Setting

• Custom cabinet shop
• Millwork shop

Responsibilities

• Use woodworking equipment such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to cut, shape, and form components.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and drawings for the items being built.
• Fit and trim joints, then assemble parts and subassemblies into finished units while reinforcing joints.
• Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, then apply veneer, stain, polish, and laminated plastics as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
