Role overview
Tata AIA Life Insurance is looking for a Branch Agency Manager within its Business Associate Model at Manager level (401). The position is based in Ghaziabad and Gurugram. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering branch business targets by strengthening the distribution ecosystem, improving sales performance, managing branch operations, maintaining compliance, and keeping the team engaged and productive.
Business and distribution growth
- Develop and widen the branch distribution network by engaging NLAs, NAAFs, BAs, Leaders, and DPBAs.
- Support recruitment efforts through activity-based sourcing, referrals, and internal networks.
- Increase business output by improving submissions, issuances, agent engagement, case size, and case rate.
Team leadership
- Coach, develop, and support Sales Managers including Executives, Assistants, and BAMs.
- Track team performance and drive achievement of both individual and branch-level goals.
- Set the tone for collaboration and lead by example across branch operations.
Compliance and reporting
- Ensure sales activities follow internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Prepare and manage MIS, reports, and tracking sheets for relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with risk control, business continuity, and ongoing process enhancement initiatives.
Skills and experience required
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of insurance products and sales workflows, along with the ability to manage, mentor, and influence teams. The role also requires business planning capability, performance monitoring, problem-solving, interviewing, and sound decision-making. Strong communication, interpersonal ability, relationship-building, teamwork, creative thinking, and quick judgment are important for success.
Qualifications
A graduate degree is required. An MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred. The role calls for 9 to 10 years of sales experience, with insurance experience considered an advantage.
