BIM Coordinator - Landscape

Overview

Parsons is hiring a BIM Coordinator for its landscape design team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on keeping BIM processes organized, making sure landscape models are coordinated across disciplines, and ensuring that all outputs meet client expectations as well as recognized industry standards.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the main BIM liaison for landscape designers so model coordination stays aligned across all involved disciplines.
• Create, update, and oversee landscape BIM models in Revit and Civil 3D, working across LOD 100 to 350.
• Run clash detection activities using Navisworks, Revizto, and Autodesk Collaborate Pro, then help close out design conflicts.
• Apply BIM guidelines and maintain compliance with standards such as ISO 19650.
• Use Common Data Environments like Autodesk Construction Cloud or ProjectWise to control model sharing, teamwork, and data accuracy.
• Partner with project managers, architects, and engineers to keep BIM deliverables on schedule and aligned with client needs.
• Provide hands-on support for BIM software, workflows, and troubleshooting for design teams.
• Help prepare BIM execution plans and ensure teams follow approved processes.
• Review models regularly to check file organization, naming rules, and data quality against project requirements.
• Conduct training for project teams on tools including Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revizto to strengthen overall capability.
• Assist in building CAD/BIM content libraries, templates, and working methods that improve design productivity.
• Work with stakeholders to support information exchange and smooth coordination between landscape models and other disciplines.
• Take on other related duties as needed to support project delivery.

Required Background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination for landscape or multi-discipline design projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Revizto, and BIM Collaborate Pro, along with solid BIM methodology understanding.
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, or comparable CDE platforms.
• Good understanding of landscape design fundamentals, grading, and documentation workflows.
• Excellent planning and organizational ability, with comfort managing several projects at once.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in creating and maintaining BIM libraries and templates.
• Exposure to landscape presentation tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Enscape.
• Capability to lead practical and engaging BIM training for design teams.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and resolving design issues.
• Prior BIM coordination experience on large urban planning, infrastructure, or landscape master planning projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and performance tracking would be beneficial.
