Assistant Manager - Warehouse Operations

Role overview

This position is focused on supervising end-to-end warehouse activities for fashion operations in Jhajjar, Haryana. The role requires close coordination with logistics, 3PL partners, finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure service levels, inventory control, and process compliance are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse workflows, including inbound receiving/GRN, order execution, returns handling, RTV, and liquidation, while staying aligned with SOPs and agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by reconciling data across multiple systems and reducing order cancellations caused by stock mismatches.
• Carry out regular audits of warehouse processes, inventory storage practices, and hygiene standards across facilities.
• Plan and execute periodic cycle counts to cover all SKUs every quarter, along with an annual wall-to-wall stock count.
• Coordinate daily pickup planning with logistics points of contact and ensure shipments are collected on time.
• Handle warehouse-related customer escalations within the defined turnaround time, identify root causes, and drive corrective action plans.
• Track slow-moving, expired, and damaged stock with business teams to ensure timely liquidation or return to vendor.
• Identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews with the 3PL partner against SLAs.
• Monitor follow-ups and corrective actions arising from internal audit observations.
• Manage packaging planning based on forecasted requirements.
• Validate billing documents and submit them to finance on time for payout processing.

Required skills and experience

• Strong working knowledge of SAP, especially MM and SD modules.
• Prior exposure to Vinculum WMS is preferred.
• Experience in warehouse operations for fashion and beauty categories.
• Good command over advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and large data handling.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Team leadership and people management capability.
