Overview
An opportunity has opened within the East Midlands RRDN flexible workforce for an Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner to join the Agile Research Delivery Team. The role is suited to someone eager to build experience in research delivery across a range of specialties and care settings, supporting both commercial and non-commercial studies.
The position is based at Curie Court in Nottingham, with significant travel expected across the region and some travel elsewhere in the East Midlands as needed. The Agile Research Delivery Team is known for delivering high standards of service that help researchers achieve strong study outcomes, and the team is expanding to strengthen support for research in public health, community, and social care environments.
This post focuses on supporting the setup and delivery of National Institute for Health and Care Research Research Delivery Network (NIHR RDN) Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings. The work requires adaptable, independent practice across disciplines and within the Regional RDN (RRDN) area.
Role Purpose
The role contributes to study delivery through participant identification, recruitment, intervention/delivery support, and follow-up in line with the relevant research protocols. It also requires the ability to build constructive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to encourage engagement and support successful research activity.
The post holder will work with professionals from multiple organisations involved in health and care research and will form an integral part of the Agile Research Delivery Team within the RRDN core team. Close collaboration will also be required with the Study Support Service and the Stakeholder and Engagement team.
Trust Strategy and Values
The Trust’s 2023-2030 strategy sets out four priorities: delivering high-quality care for all, being a great place to work, building partnerships for impact, and achieving excellence in research and education.
Health equity is central to this approach, with active efforts to reduce avoidable differences in healthcare through partnership with communities.
The organisation’s values are: compassionate, proud, inclusive, and one team.
