Assembly Technician

Role overview

We are looking for an Assembly Technician to build intricate electro-mechanical units and sub-assemblies in line with engineering specifications, work instructions, and established quality requirements.

Key duties

• Put together complex electro-mechanical assemblies and smaller sub-assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and quality benchmarks.
• Carry out wiring, soldering, and mechanical fastening tasks while working carefully with tiny parts.
• Review and understand technical drawings, schematics, and build documents to ensure assemblies are completed correctly.
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and assembly jigs/fixtures safely and efficiently to support production output.
• Inspect work for quality, watch the production flow, and promptly report any defects, irregularities, or equipment issues.
• Diagnose straightforward faults and handle minor corrective work in coordination with Engineering and Production colleagues.
• Keep the work area tidy, orderly, and safe while following all applicable safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• A Technical Diploma or equivalent practical experience is needed; IPC, OSHA, or SMTA certifications will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or a closely related area.
• Strong hands-on ability in soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly methods.
• Sharp attention to detail, along with good dexterity for precise manual work.
• Clear visual ability to identify and manage small components accurately.
