Role overview

An established RIBA-chartered practice in Harrogate is hiring an experienced Architectural Technician. The firm works across retail, residential, industrial, and healthcare projects, and this position offers the chance to contribute to a forward-looking team on a permanent basis.

Reference: BM208. Salary range: GBP32,000 to GBP40,000.

What the role involves

• Oversee retail projects from early concept stages through to final completion.
• Produce building regulation documentation and prepare planning submissions.
• Carry out site inspections and surveys to confirm technical standards are met.
• Work closely with clients and contractors to help projects progress smoothly and successfully.

Skills and experience needed

• A degree in architectural technology or a closely related discipline.
• Substantial post-qualification experience working as an Architectural Technologist in a UK practice.
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations.
• Confident use of AutoCAD and Revit.
• CIAT chartership would be an advantage.
• Retail-sector project experience is preferred.
• Strong technical drawing and presentation ability.
• Excellent communication and organisational capabilities.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Harrogate.
