About the role
This is a Hobart-based account management position focused on supporting food and beverage manufacturers across southern Tasmania. The role suits someone already working in food and beverage sales or manufacturing, as well as a recent graduate eager to begin a career with a global organisation.
You will help customers improve operational performance, strengthen food safety and raise product quality. Using Ecolab’s range of resources, you will design cleaning and sanitising programs to suit each site, align solutions with operational goals, and help lower the total cost of operations. A key part of the job is spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase revenue through proactive business development. You will act as a dependable advisor, sharing best practices, product guidance and market insights while building strong relationships across all levels of the customer’s business.
Success in this role depends on being responsive, approachable, energetic and curious. Comprehensive training is provided, so prior experience in every area is not essential. This opportunity can also suit a new graduate looking for growth within a large international business.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for assigned customers and provide solutions that match their business needs.
- Create and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers at customer sites to support satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Carry out on-site hygiene product testing, inspections and audits to identify possible contamination or hygiene risks.
- Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Ecolab products or services.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of products and services.
- Monitor and assess performance indicators to understand account health and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead regular business review meetings with customers.
- Actively pursue sales growth and business development opportunities within the dairy, brewing, beverage, protein and food processing sectors.
Additional requirements and work conditions
The position may involve travel to other parts of Tasmania, including overnight stays and occasional night work, depending on customer needs.
Working culture
Ecolab’s behavioural focus is built around three principles: putting people first, operating as one ANZ Ecolab team, and owning the outcome. The company values diverse and inclusive teams and supports growth through performance, teamwork and results.

- Flexible work arrangements.
- Health and wellbeing subsidy of $250 per year.
- Option to purchase additional annual leave, plus MY Days bonus leave.
