Warehouse Operative

About the role

Controlled Environments Company (CEC) provides a single-source supply and support service for customers working in highly controlled, clean, and critical environments. The business is hiring a Warehouse Operative for a customer location in Athenry.

What you will do

• Transport items to the relevant kanban points across the site.
• Replenish local storage areas with consumables so stock stays at the required level.
• Handle inbound goods by checking, counting, and arranging stock correctly.
• Carry out inventory checks and cycle counts with a proactive focus on keeping records accurate.
• Use a computerized warehouse management system in day-to-day tasks.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
• Follow all health and safety requirements, contribute to risk assessments, and support corrective actions to keep the workplace safe.
• Work in line with customer SOPs and good manufacturing practices.
• Keep work areas tidy and well-organized by following housekeeping standards and dealing quickly with any hazards.
• Provide reliable quality service and respond to customer queries quickly and professionally.
• Join team meetings regularly to support clear communication and alignment on work priorities.
• Update customers on request status in a timely way using the appropriate communication channels.
• Maintain accuracy in all material movements while making the best use of allocated storage space.

• Previous experience with stock control software such as SAP or a similar platform is an advantage.
• Cleanroom experience is preferred but not required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior experience with a warehouse management system is desirable.
• Forklift driving experience is an advantage.

This role is based on-site at a customer facility in Athenry, County Galway, Ireland.
