Talend Administrator

Role overview

Infosys is seeking an experienced Talend Administrator to manage and support Talend Data Integration and Talend Data Fabric in a production environment based in Trivandrum, Kerala. The role is intended for professionals with substantial experience in IT, platform administration, ETL operations, and release support.

What you will do

• Set up, tune, and continuously maintain Talend Data Integration and Talend Data Fabric environments.
• Administer core Talend components such as TAC (Talend Administration Center), Job Server, and ESB.
• Control user access, permissions, and security settings across the platform.
• Handle job deployments, scheduling, monitoring, and issue resolution for Talend workloads.
• Manage the repository, versioning, and movement of artifacts across Dev, QA, and Prod.
• Track job execution, investigate failures or performance issues, and apply corrective actions.
• Configure logs and alerts to support proactive monitoring and fast incident response.
• Carry out health checks, platform maintenance, and performance optimization to keep services stable and available.
• Support CI/CD workflows for Talend jobs and artifacts, including automated deployment pipelines.
• Coordinate releases with development and data engineering teams.
• Work with databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, and support integration with APIs, cloud services, and external systems.
• Improve job efficiency and scalability where required.
• Apply governance, access control, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and restore practices.
• Provide L2/L3 support for Talend-related incidents and collaborate closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Document operational processes, configuration details, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of experience in IT with a focus on Talend administration.
• Practical, hands-on expertise with Talend Data Integration and Talend Data Fabric.
• Strong understanding of ETL principles and data integration flows.
• Experience with job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Solid SQL knowledge and database administration fundamentals.
• Working familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and concepts such as Jenkins and Git.
• Good analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
