Role overview
Tesla is hiring an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to support sourcing for sensing and connectivity hardware used in its most advanced products. This position sits within the Supply Chain organization and focuses on building and executing sourcing plans for PCBAs, custom mechanical components, and finished assemblies. The role is designed for someone who can balance supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance while building strong supplier partnerships.
The environment is fast-moving and highly dynamic, so success in this role requires adaptability, technical understanding, and a proactive approach. The analyst will have a visible impact on sourcing decisions and supplier performance across critical hardware programs.
What you will do
- Lead the complete RFx cycle, from preparing and sending RFQs to potential manufacturing and supply partners through to reviewing proposals, negotiating terms, securing internal buy-in, and recommending the selected supplier.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support smooth new product introductions and scale-up into mass production.
- Identify global supply risks and create practical backup plans to protect high-volume production requirements.
- Create and manage supplier performance metrics and tracking systems to highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Make sure NDAs, general terms and conditions, piece price agreements, and related contracts are completed before business starts.
What you should bring
- At least 2 years of sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in PCBA or electronics manufacturing.
- A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing, including SMT, through-hole processes, testing, and final assembly.
- Background in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
- Solid grasp of costing methods, cost reduction approaches, and pricing models.
- Familiarity with major semiconductor components used in automotive applications, such as MCUs, SoCs, MOSFETs, and LGBTs.
Benefits and compensation
This is a full-time role with competitive pay. The annual base salary range is $88,000 to $132,000, along with cash and stock awards and benefits.
