The school is a valued part of the local community and is known for its supportive, inclusive approach to education in a culturally safe environment where students are encouraged to achieve their best.
The school’s KNIGHTS values — Knowledge, Nurture, Inclusivity, Growth, Happiness, Teamwork and Success — shape its culture and daily work. Staff and students are encouraged to be courageous learners, respectful peers and active contributors to the community.
Newton Moore SHS offers multiple pathways for students, including two Department of Education approved Specialist Academic Programs: Science Horizons and Engineering. It also operates the Moore Academy of Sport and Health (MASH) for talented young athletes and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Aquaculture, delivering training linked to real qualifications and career pathways.
The school also hosts the Clontarf Academy, Stars Foundation and Bushranger Cadets, which provide mentoring, leadership development, cultural enrichment and engagement opportunities. These programs contribute to a vibrant workplace for people who are passionate about engagement, equity and student achievement.
