Role overview

An established commodities trading business is looking for a careful, proactive Settlement Analyst to support the accurate and prompt settlement of physical and financial commodity trades.

What you will do

Oversee invoice creation, circulation, matching, and settlement across physical and financial trading transactions.
Check that pricing, invoice timing, and due-date calculations comply with the relevant contract terms.
Process trade settlements accurately and on time, including reconciliation work and resolution of settlement issues.
Work with internal teams and outside counterparts to investigate and close invoicing mismatches.
Prepare, examine, and validate invoices together with supporting documents, ensuring they meet trade contract conditions and Letter of Credit requirements.
Look for ways to streamline settlement workflows and contribute to special projects or operational tasks when needed.
Follow internal control procedures as well as applicable tax, sanctions, and AML requirements.

Requirements

At least 3 years of settlement experience in the commodities trading sector.
Solid understanding of commodities trading operations and settlement workflows.
Effective written and verbal communication, plus strong people skills.
Highly attentive to detail and comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
