Role overview
This opportunity is for several senior QA professionals to take ownership of quality assurance in smart metering programs. The position is centered on building dependable, compliant, and high-performing quality practices for smart utility deployments.
The work will involve shaping ISO 9001-led quality systems, supervising meter testing and calibration, supporting audits, and pushing continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing, test, and field environments.
Key responsibilities
- Take the lead on quality assurance activities for smart metering solutions spanning manufacturing, testing, and on-site deployment.
- Set up, run, and continuously improve an ISO 9001-aligned quality management system.
- Manage meter testing and calibration activities while ensuring alignment with utility and regulatory expectations.
- Carry out audits and track corrective and preventive actions through to closure.
- Review performance data from the field and use it to identify quality gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering, vendor, and operations teams to resolve quality issues and strengthen delivery.
Requirements
- At least 13 years of experience in QA for metering or smart utility systems.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is required.
- Certification in meter testing and calibration is required.
- Hands-on background in smart metering or AMI environments.
- Practical knowledge of utility standards and quality assurance methods.
Additional details
This role is being hired for multiple openings. The position is based in Doha, Qatar and follows a contract, on-site working arrangement.
