Role Overview
This position is for an experienced payroll-focused accountant who can take ownership of payroll operations for a UAE-based organization. The role calls for strong practical exposure to payroll processing in the UAE, advanced working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Payroll, and the ability to deliver payroll accurately, on schedule, and in line with UAE labor requirements and internal company rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the monthly payroll cycle accurately and within deadlines through Oracle Fusion Payroll.
- Review payroll inputs such as attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, and full and final settlement amounts.
- Make sure payroll activities comply with UAE Labour Law and internal policy standards.
- Keep payroll files and employee information accurate, secure, and confidential.
- Perform payroll account reconciliations and prepare related journal entries.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other teams to address and close payroll queries.
- Handle employee benefits, leave encashment, and end-of-service settlement processing.
- Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and audit use.
- Assist with internal and external audits by sharing payroll records, support documents, and reconciliations.
- Look for ways to streamline payroll workflows and improve efficiency.
- Maintain adherence to all statutory and regulatory payroll obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline. This role requires at least 3 years of payroll processing experience in the UAE, including a minimum of 1 year supporting payroll for a large organization. Strong hands-on Oracle Fusion Payroll experience is essential. A solid grasp of UAE Labour Law and payroll compliance is also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is needed, and experience with payroll reconciliations and financial reporting would be an advantage.
