Position overview

This opening is for a Vice President-level Securitized Trader in New York. The role sits on the Securitized Secondary Trading desk within the Global Financing & Credit Trading business. The desk functions as a market maker in securitized products, helping clients obtain liquidity and supporting new issue activity.

What you will do

• Provide liquidity to clients by acting as a market maker in securitized products.
• Develop and expand your client franchise within the sector to grow market share.
• Manage and monitor the market risk tied to trading positions.
• Use the Institutional Client Group credit sales team to help source liquidity.
• Support Capital Markets with the distribution of new issues.

Leadership responsibilities

• Train and guide junior traders on the desk.
• Help strengthen the firm’s client relationships and expand its franchise.
• Work with Sales and Research to generate trading ideas.

Experience and profile sought

The role calls for prior exposure to the securitized secondary market, ideally from either the buy side or sell side. A strong network of buy-side clients in this market is important, along with deep knowledge of the securitized industry and previous trading experience in the sector. The ideal candidate should also have a track record of prudent risk management and profitable trading.

Work arrangement

Pay and compliance notes

The disclosed salary range for New York City is $180,000 to $250,000. Pay may vary based on skills, experience, education, work location, and other relevant factors. Incentive compensation and other forms of remuneration are not included in this range.
