Safety Supervisor

Role overview

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for protecting the people, premises, and operations of Medical Fakeeh. The position leads the safety and security function, builds training initiatives, and puts risk-control measures into practice. It also includes oversight of access management, regulatory compliance, and investigation of safety or security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff in the safety and security units to maintain strong performance and follow the organization’s procedures and policies.
• Review, revise, and roll out safety and security policies, manuals, and procedures so they remain aligned with MOI requirements, internal standards, and international accreditation expectations.
• Design and recommend new procedures to reduce safety and security risks, including emergency response processes and the Emergency Disaster Manual.
• Carry out routine inspections and audits of facilities and security activities, record the findings, and ensure corrective actions are tracked.
• Examine safety and security incidents, identify root causes, suggest preventive steps, and apply corrective measures where needed.
• Ensure that all facilities comply with applicable safety and security regulations, codes, and standards.
• Monitor facility operations and security practices to confirm adherence to established protocols, and prepare awareness materials and training sessions for employees.
• Plan staff schedules to maintain sufficient coverage for security and safety requirements.
• Prepare and present safety and security briefings to employees and stakeholders to strengthen awareness.
• Run emergency drills, review the results, and create improvement plans to strengthen readiness for potential events.
• Take part in meetings and committees as needed and work with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.
• Perform thorough risk assessments for all facilities and develop action plans to reduce identified hazards.
• Manage safety and security projects in line with Civil Defense requirements and accreditation standards.
• Provide reports on safety and security issues to the Facility Director.
• Oversee the work-order process from the control room and manage the personnel handling security operations.
• Deliver training for existing employees and new joiners to improve understanding of safety and security procedures.
• Build and maintain coordination with local law-enforcement bodies and emergency services for incident response.
• Carry out any additional duties that fall within the scope of the role.

• Protect confidential information and handle sensitive data carefully.
• Follow cybersecurity policies and standards, and participate in awareness programs that help prevent cyber threats.
• Comply with Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, internal policies, and ethical standards.
• Complete required mandatory education at least one month before its expiry date.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in security management.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Strong leadership and people-management capability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, patients, and outside agencies.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Written and spoken English fluency is required.
• Written and spoken Arabic fluency is preferred, but not mandatory.
• NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification.

Eligibility

This position is suited to experienced security-management professionals with an engineering degree and the required certifications who can work onsite in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
