Role Overview
This position is for a Product & Catalog Manager in Retail Category Management based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The role sits within the Product Catalogue department and reports to the Head of Product Catalogue.
What You Will Do
You will oversee the organization, maintenance, and governance of a broad product catalog while guiding a team of catalog executives. The job focuses on keeping product movement efficient, improving cataloging workflows, and using technology to make the process faster and more reliable. You will work with internal stakeholders, vendors, and sellers to support accurate product listings, timely updates, and a better overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with category management teams to keep product flow smooth and operations efficient, while helping lower order mismatches.
- Introduce and encourage technology-based improvements that simplify workflows and strengthen automation within the team.
- Support sellers and vendors in using catalog tools, and assist with product listing, catalog setup, and shipment-related challenges.
- Address and resolve issues connected to inbounding, product concerns, and customer complaints.
- Work with vendors, sellers, and internal teams to build catalogs, manage product imagery, and maintain content correctness.
- Spot new and trending products and assess them for possible launch opportunities.
Performance Measures
Success in this role will be assessed through better sales profitability, a more balanced assortment across categories, stronger contribution to store or chain revenue growth, and improved product availability analysis.

The role calls for quality checking, data analytics, vendor coordination, trend evaluation, and inventory control, along with strong planning, teamwork, attention to detail, customer orientation, data collection, negotiation, and clear communication.
