Overview
City Centre Rotana Doha is looking for a customer-oriented and energetic Reservations Agent to join its revenue and guest services team in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on handling room bookings accurately, keeping reservation records updated, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive guest room booking requests by phone, letter, or fax, and complete confirmations in a timely manner.
- Enter all reservation details into the system with complete and accurate information, and respond to reservation-related questions, complaints, and special requests.
- Stay informed about hotel promotions, room offers, rates, confirmation processes, and available facilities, and apply the correct procedures for each booking.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge, understand pricing structure, and use rate management appropriately.
- Keep reservation correspondence organized and prepare reports requested by the Reservations Manager or Supervisor.
- Support positive public relations and help maximize business opportunities for the hotel.
- Maintain accurate room availability and status information at all times.
- Answer incoming calls according to hotel service standards, process faxed information correctly, and monitor incoming emails regularly.
- Handle hotel guest visa requests in line with policy and identify opportunities to upsell where appropriate.
Education, Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or degree in hospitality and bring prior experience in hotel reservations. Strong computer skills are required, along with excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
