Role overview

Comfort Keepers Victoria is hiring a Registered Care Aide to support clients in the Sidney area. This is a hands-on caregiving role focused on helping seniors and other clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible in their homes. Available shifts range from 3 to 12 hours, and the organization operates services around the clock.

What you will do

  • Support the delivery of home care and related services under the guidance of the health care team.
  • Monitor clients and report meaningful changes in their condition or behaviour.
  • Work closely with the care team, clients, and family or other caregivers to promote independence in daily living activities and instrumental daily living tasks.
  • Help with personal care such as bathing, showering, dressing, moving around, eating, and toileting.
  • Assist with household tasks, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, and laundry.
  • Encourage, engage, and motivate clients to take part in their own care.
  • Share observations and suggestions during care planning discussions with the health care team.
  • Keep the client environment clean, organized, and safe for everyone.
  • Transport clients in their own vehicle for appointments and outings when needed.
