The business serves both private and public sector clients and is looking to add experienced professionals to its team.

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering. The job centers on quantity measurement, cost estimation, billing assistance, and cost control for construction projects. The selected candidate will work closely with site, billing, and planning teams to ensure measurements are accurate, costs are tracked properly, and contract obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Work out quantities from drawings and technical specifications.
• Draft, review, and validate BOQs, estimates, and cost statements.
• Track project expenditure and assist with cost-control efforts.
• Support the preparation and checking of RA bills and final bills.
• Coordinate with site engineers to confirm measurements and work progress.
• Study variations, additional items, and rate analysis requirements.
• Keep organized records for quantities, costs, and contract-related documents.
• Assist with procurement coordination and material reconciliation.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required. Applications from candidates outside these domains will not be considered.

Experience

The role requires 3 to 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveyor positions within the construction industry.

Skills

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and numerical ability, a solid grasp of BOQ preparation, estimation, and rate analysis, and a good understanding of construction contracts and cost control. The ability to read drawings and specifications accurately, along with strong coordination and communication skills, is important. Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera will be an added benefit.
