QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

This position supports the creation, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 29001. The job also focuses on maintaining QA/QC standards across workshop operations and field service work. In addition, the role assists the QHSE Manager with procedure writing, KPI tracking, data analysis, internal audits, ITP preparation, handling customer complaints and NCRs, quality records, and continuous improvement activities aligned with IMS and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and maintenance of IMS policies, procedures, processes, and technical specifications.
• Help ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 29001 requirements.
• Apply knowledge of ASME, ISO, API, and related industry standards and recommended practices.
• Prepare and manage QA/QC records, inspection plans, quality dossiers, and related reports.
• Contribute to ITP creation, NCR management, corrective action assessment, and documentation control.
• Participate in internal and external audits, maintain readiness, and track closure of audit findings.
• Monitor IMS action plans, follow up on assigned items, and keep records up to date.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and broader continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate NCR meetings, track open items, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Coordinate supplier NCRs and support SCM with vendor development and evaluation activities.
• Support departments in implementing process, documentation, and control changes, ensuring approvals and records are properly maintained.
• Help define requirements for IT systems that support processes and quality controls.
• Advise process owners, departments, and management on IMS-related requirements and best practices.

Role Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 29001.
• Familiarity with API codes, ASME standards, ISO standards, and recommended practices used in rotating equipment environments.
• Experience with QA/QC documents, ITPs, NCRs, and corrective action reviews.
• Understanding of calibration methods and verification of test instruments/equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and OEM manuals.
• Basic knowledge of rotating equipment repair, inspection, failure analysis, and maintenance methods.
• Capability to perform or review dimensional checks, material traceability, cleanliness inspections, and related quality controls.
• Experience supporting internal and certification audits.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Background in inspection, repair, and overhaul of rotating and turbomachinery equipment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in management systems or auditing.
• Overall experience of 5 to 7 years in IMS or QA/QC roles within Rotating Equipment, Oil & Gas, or Turbomachinery industries.
