PTW Officer

Role Overview

A major construction project based in Qatar is seeking an experienced PTW Officer to oversee permit control and site safety for civil and structural works.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• The candidate must possess a valid Oryx GTL PTW2 card.
• At least 5 years of GCC experience is necessary in a supervisory role or in PTW-related work, ideally within Oil & Gas or petrochemical settings.
• Applicants should be ready to attend a mandatory in-person interview.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full Permit to Work process from initiation through closure for all civil and structural activities carried out on site.
• Perform detailed Job Safety Analyses and risk reviews before permits are issued, making sure all hazards are identified and controlled in line with Oryx GTL procedures.
• Serve as the lead civil supervisor on site by ensuring compliance with safety rules, approved drawings, and all permit conditions.
• Coordinate each day with HSE teams, site engineers, and client representatives to obtain necessary approvals and avoid interruptions to operations.
• Lead daily toolbox talks for civil crews, covering permit requirements, site-specific hazards, and emergency response steps.

• The applicant must currently be in Qatar and hold a valid QID.
• Immediate availability to join is required.
• A recent CV, experience certificates, and related supporting documents must be submitted.
• All experience certificates must be attached to the CV and should cover the full 5-year experience period.
