This position is for a Project Manager to lead project delivery in a complex operational setting, making sure work is completed on schedule, within agreed scope, and to the required quality level. The role involves bringing together project teams, managing stakeholders, and overseeing planning, delivery, and implementation activities across assigned initiatives. A key part of the job is also supporting change management, encouraging adoption of new systems and processes, and helping move work into business-as-usual operations.

The role is a 12-month contract based onsite in Darwin, Northern Territory.

What You'll Do

• Guide projects from launch through to close-out, covering planning, delivery, and execution.
• Create and keep up to date project plans, timelines, governance structures, and progress updates.
• Work with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet project goals and deliverables.
• Track and control risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints while maintaining solid governance.
• Support readiness activities, change adoption, communications, and training so implementation runs smoothly.
• Measure project progress against milestones, budgets, and planned outputs.
• Run workshops, meetings, and engagement sessions with both business and technical groups.
• Make sure project results support strategic goals and create clear business value.
• Share regular reports, insights, and recommendations with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold strong project delivery practices.

What You'll Bring

• At least 5 years of experience delivering complex projects and achieving business outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate resources in changing environments.
• Strong capability in planning, governance, scheduling, budgeting, and risk control.
• Background in organisational change, business transformation, or technology-led initiatives.
• Experience driving readiness, stakeholder engagement, training, and user adoption.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence people at different levels.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on workable and lasting solutions.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adjust quickly to shifting operational needs.
• Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Jira, or similar systems.
• A self-starting, responsible, and collaborative approach with a focus on high-quality outcomes.
• Experience in large, complex, or enterprise-level project environments is preferred.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
