Role overview
Spurr Technologies Limited, an ICT consulting company based in Jamaica, is looking for a well-organized and proactive Project Coordinator to keep projects moving in a structured and efficient way. This position is suited to someone who can confidently connect clients with technical teams, stay on top of multiple tasks, and bring order to fast-moving workstreams.
The Project Coordinator will support delivery across administration, client communication, reporting, and recordkeeping. The role is designed to help projects stay organized by managing information, monitoring deadlines, coordinating communication, and assisting with financial and business administration tasks.
Core duties
- Assist with the coordination of client projects from an administrative and communication standpoint.
- Monitor project actions, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and pending items.
- Keep project files, records, and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Follow up on incomplete tasks and raise issues when escalation is needed.
- Arrange meetings, project activities, and required resources.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for routine client communications.
- Track client requests, approvals, and outstanding information, and ensure updates are passed on appropriately.
- Maintain clear records of client decisions, actions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare status reports, meeting notes, timesheets, and other documentation required for reporting.
- Gather information needed for internal or external reporting.
- Ensure that documents are submitted within required timelines and stored in an organized manner.
- Support invoicing, expense tracking, payables, and related recordkeeping.
- Monitor invoices, expenses, approvals, and supporting documents, and follow up where information is missing.
- Maintain records needed for financial reviews and reconciliation.
- Provide general administrative support to the business.
- Manage shared files, templates, systems, calendars, meetings, and correspondence.
- Support improvements to internal processes and keep records organized.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications and experience
- A diploma or degree in a relevant area, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, client service, or business support is expected.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, reporting, and recordkeeping are essential.
- Comfort with common office and collaboration tools is needed.
- The ability to juggle several priorities, work with limited supervision, and protect confidential information is important.
- Background exposure to ICT, consulting, financial administration, or project management systems will be considered an added advantage.
Decision-making and escalation
The role includes independent handling of routine administrative matters, while technical, contractual, financial, or sensitive matters should be escalated when necessary.
Reporting line and role flexibility
This position reports to the Managing Director and works closely with the Business Administrator and Development Team to support project delivery, client coordination, reporting, financial administration, and overall business operations. As the organization expands, responsibilities and reporting relationships may change to match business needs. However, the main emphasis of the role will remain project coordination, administration, reporting, and business support.
Compensation
The gross monthly pay for this role is J$140,000 to J$180,000, depending on experience and capability. Candidates should confirm that this range suits their expectations before proceeding.
