Role overview
This position is part of a nationwide property management company that focuses on single-family rental homes and aims to provide a positive living experience for residents along with a people-first workplace for employees. The role is centered on keeping the property’s exterior grounds and shared spaces clean, orderly, and presentable while delivering professional service to both internal and external customers.
Key duties
- Keep the outdoor areas and shared spaces of the property in good condition, including common indoor areas.
- Support trash removal activities after residents move out, when needed.
- Maintain areas such as trash chutes, trash compactors, landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, buildings, and gutters.
- Keep work areas and maintenance storage spaces organized and clean.
- Assist with pool cleaning and upkeep of the surrounding area, where applicable.
- Place notices to vacate and other community communications when required.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and knowledge expected
Candidates should have familiarity with grounds upkeep, landscaping, or general maintenance/janitorial work. A basic understanding of interior and exterior maintenance, cleaning equipment, and hand tools is important. Exposure to building maintenance and repair is preferred, and basic computer skills are required to complete job tasks.
Work schedule and physical demands
The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, though hours may change based on business needs. The role may include overtime, extended shifts, and participation in an on-call or rotating on-call arrangement. This is a physically active job that requires lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs. The work may involve operating a vehicle onsite when needed and working in all weather conditions.
