Role Overview
Title: Phoenix: Category Management
Program Type: Returnship initiative for women re-entering the workforce after a career break
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Work Mode: Onsite
Duration: 6 months
Eligibility note: Applicants must currently have at least a 6-month career gap.
Phoenix is Myntra’s structured return-to-work program designed to help women restart their careers in a supportive environment. The six-month experience includes guided onboarding, learning and development support, mentorship, practical project work, and strong employee benefits. The program is intended to help participants rebuild confidence, strengthen skills, and potentially move into full-time roles.
Launched in 2021, Phoenix has continued to grow, and this edition represents the fifth batch of the program.
Participants will work with experienced professionals in e-commerce and contribute to projects aligned with their strengths and interests.
What the Role Involves
- Manage relationships with vendors, including maintaining partnerships, negotiating favorable commercial terms, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products or services.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and other stakeholders to support smooth collaboration and shared outcomes.
- Create and execute inventory plans that keep stock levels efficient, control holding costs, and match availability with demand expectations.
- Handle category operations across the full lifecycle, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and product placement, with the goal of improving sales and margins.
- Review financial performance, identify opportunities to improve profitability, and implement measures that support better margins and lower costs.
- Plan and drive sales strategies by setting goals, monitoring results, and taking corrective action to improve revenue and market share.
Experience and Fit
The role is aimed at professionals with approximately 2 to 8 years of experience in relevant areas such as category operations, vendor coordination, inventory planning, and sales strategy.
Required Education
Undergraduate degree.
Skills and Background
Relevant experience in category management and key account management is expected, along with the ability to work across vendors, inventory, operations, and business performance goals.
