Role overview
McCabes Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for its Lough, Cork location. This is a permanent full-time position with a 40-hour weekly schedule.

Key duties
The role centres on accurate prescription handling, patient support, dispensary coordination, and day-to-day pharmacy operations. You will also contribute ideas, team initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions carefully and with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Maintain prescription records and support monthly HSE PCRS claims.
- Provide practical over-the-counter guidance to patients.
- Offer a friendly, professional service and build positive relationships with customers.
- Oversee dispensary stock, including expiry checks, ordering, and keeping the workflow organised.
- Participate in personal development, team projects, and new initiatives.
Required qualification
The essential requirement is either the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
