About the role

Albury Wodonga Health is looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Systems Lead to own and improve the organisation’s payroll and rostering platforms, including PayGlobal and Optima. This is a newly created specialist position with wide organisational influence.

The role focuses on making workforce systems dependable, efficient and aligned to business needs. You will partner with Payroll, People & Culture, operational leaders and ICT to administer systems, support upgrades and enhancements, deliver training, strengthen rostering practices and turn data into meaningful workforce insights.

Key duties

  • Manage the administration, setup and ongoing improvement of PayGlobal and Optima.
  • Serve as the main internal expert for payroll and rostering systems.
  • Support managers and roster builders to lift rostering quality and workforce results.
  • Produce workforce reports, analytics and system-based insights.
  • Coordinate testing, rollout and adoption of upgrades and enhancements.
  • Create training materials and grow system capability across the organisation.
  • Lead improvement work that boosts efficiency and improves the user experience.
