About the Role

Peninsula Australia is hiring a Payroll Officer to join its collaborative Sydney headquarters team. In this role, you will oversee accurate, timely end-to-end payroll delivery for more than 1,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full payroll cycle for Australia and New Zealand, including payroll changes, employee updates, variations, and termination calculations.
  • Review payroll discrepancies, investigate differences, and resolve errors.
  • Calculate and submit superannuation and payroll tax obligations.
  • Support fortnightly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and manage the ANZ payroll inbox.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and awards related to PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and employee entitlements.
  • A qualification in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting is considered an advantage.
  • Strong Excel ability, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and a quick learning mindset.
