Key accountabilities

• Create and implement payment strategies that align with broader business goals and support platform expansion and smoother transactions.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing payment service providers, while also sourcing, assessing, and onboarding new partners where needed.
• Negotiate commercial arrangements with payment partners, including pricing, contractual commitments, and service expectations, to secure favourable outcomes for the business.
• Track core payment performance indicators such as approval rates, failure rates, and processing efficiency, and act quickly to resolve issues.
• Work closely with teams across product, legal, finance, marketing, and customer support to ensure payment integrations run seamlessly.
• Carry out research and ad hoc analysis to inform strategy and improve the overall performance of the payments ecosystem.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in payments, financial services, business development, or a closely related area within a global or fast-growing environment.
• A proven record of managing relationships with payment service providers, banks, or other financial institutions.
• Practical experience negotiating commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements.
• Excellent communication ability, with the confidence to translate complex payment topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to stay effective in fast-moving settings.
• Experience working on projects and collaborating across functions.
• Well-developed planning, organisation, and time-management skills.
• Prior exposure to e-commerce, marketplace, or gaming environments would be an advantage.
