About the role
This position is for a Packet Core Specialist with strong hands-on depth in Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and 5G Core (5GC) technologies. The role centers on planning, designing, deploying, and optimizing packet core networks in environments that may involve multiple vendors. A major part of the job is to protect network performance, resolve KPI issues, and deliver work within agreed timelines.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of day-to-day delivery activities in line with Market Area expectations.
- Investigate drops in network KPIs and identify the root cause of performance issues.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to keep execution on track.
- Follow established working methods, process standards, and best-practice guidelines.
- Handle design, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and workaround or solution planning for network problems.
- Make sure KPIs are achieved consistently against agreed SLAs and performance goals.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other stakeholders in a client-facing setting.
Experience and technical profile
The role calls for 8 to 12 years of experience in PS Core networks. You should have strong expertise in packet core planning, design, and optimization across multi-vendor environments. Practical exposure to MME, AMF, PCC, SGW, PGW, SMF, UPF, PCG, DNS, and NFVi nodes is important for KPI tuning and network performance improvement. You should also be comfortable using probing and analysis tools such as Wireshark, TShark, NetScout, or comparable vendor tools. A solid grasp of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies is expected, along with understanding of adjacent domains such as RAN, CS, and IP. Experience with virtualization and cloud-native network functions in NFVi, VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes environments is also valued. Knowledge of automation frameworks for network operations and strong communication skills are part of the profile.

Compensation
The stated salary range is INR 15,00,000 to INR 27,50,000 per year.
