NPD - Application Engineer (Part Development)

Role Overview

The company is looking for an Application Engineer focused on new product development and part development within the automotive domain. This position involves supporting component development, technical coordination, validation, and supplier-related evaluation activities for parts development programs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Hands-on exposure to automotive parts development and the overall development lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of PPAP and APQP.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and validation techniques.
• Experience in developing and testing automotive components.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked on engine or transmission parts development.

Responsibilities

• Drive part development activities in coordination with suppliers and plant teams.
• Ensure delivery across product design, validation, and industrialization milestones.
• Support technical assessment of prospective suppliers during the sourcing stage.
• Evaluate the novelty and development feasibility of parts under consideration.
