Role overview

Joe Duffy Group is hiring fully qualified motor technicians for its modern BMW dealership at Exit 5 on the M50. The business is Ireland’s largest motor retail group, operating across 24 locations, 20 franchises and 13 brands, with a workforce of 600. What you will be doing

• Diagnose, repair and test BMW and MINI vehicles when directed by the Service Operations Manager or other supervisory staff.
• Deliver workmanship that meets the highest quality standards and supports strong customer satisfaction.
• Fit replacement parts, components, lubricants and consumables, while keeping accurate records of usage.
• Assess vehicle and component serviceability with a strong focus on customer safety and public safety, and document all faults and concerns verbally and in writing on the job card and Vehicle Health Check forms. Escalate serious issues to the Service Operations Manager or Service Advisor.
• Follow BMW technical service information and adopt improved working methods as required.
• Recover damaged or faulty vehicles as instructed, while prioritising staff safety and protecting customer vehicles and belongings.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free workshop area.

What the employer is looking for

• Fully qualified vehicle technician with papers.
• Previous BMW technician experience is preferred, and completion of manufacturer training modules is an advantage.
• A full, clean, current driving licence with a strong driving record.
• Sound judgement and the ability to work safely at all times.
• Applicants must be able to carry out duties in a safe manner.
• Employment is subject to satisfactory references.
• A full and clean Irish or EU driving licence is essential.
• A full-time work visa is also an absolute requirement for this position.
