About the Role

Figure is hiring a Motion Designer for the Brand team. In this role, you will partner with designers, managers, and stakeholders to craft engaging visual narratives and interactions that educate, entertain, and inspire audiences about the company. You will translate complex products and ideas into videos that are both easy to understand and rich in detail.

The in-house team works closely with stakeholders to tell the brand story, inform customers, and communicate who the company is. The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling ability, a solid work ethic, and a collaborative approach. You should be able to develop motion pieces from the earliest brainstorming stage through final delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Design polished, high-impact videos, motion graphics, and interactive assets across product, brand, and other business areas.
• Partner with designers, stakeholders, and marketing managers throughout the production workflow.
• Own the full motion design process, from ideation and asset creation to animation and final refinement.
• Work effectively in a fast-moving environment and deliver against important milestones and deadlines.
• Interpret a simple brief and convert a script into a compelling video tailored to the target audience and market goals.
• Help maintain and improve motion design guidelines so brand expression stays consistent.
• Contribute through project work, team discussions, and brainstorming sessions.

What We Look For

• At least 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in motion design.
• Background in video editing and production.
• Strong command of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Exposure to Cinema 4D and/or illustration is considered an advantage.
• Solid understanding of composition and the 12 principles of animation, with the ability to apply them to smooth motion storytelling.
• Good grasp of design principles and theory.
• Self-driven and motivated while also thriving in collaborative work.
• Clear communication and a strong professional presence in day-to-day work.
• Ability to follow company security policies and data handling procedures.
• Willingness to complete required security awareness training on time.
• Ability to promptly escalate any suspected security incident or suspicious activity to the Security team.

Salary and Compensation

The base pay range for this role in the United States is $74,800 to $112,200 per year. The position also includes a 25% annual bonus target paid quarterly and company equity in the form of RSUs.

Actual pay may differ depending on experience, skills, location, internal equity, and business needs. While offers are usually made around the middle of the range, final compensation is decided using the factors above.
