Mixologist

Role overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a full-time Mixologist to join its Food and Beverage team at the West Bay Lagoon property in Doha, Qatar. This position is a non-management role and is not remote.

The hotel is a long-established luxury resort on the Arabian Gulf with rooms and suites, restaurants, spa and fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, a club lounge, and event spaces for meetings and weddings. The brand emphasizes refined service, genuine hospitality, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

What you will do

• Mix and serve beverages according to set recipes and measured portions.
• Open, present, and pour wine and champagne for guests.
• Keep the bar, bar equipment, tables, and related tools clean, orderly, and in good condition.
• Prepare fresh garnishes and restock ice, glassware, and paper goods as needed.
• Move supplies to the bar setup area and handle used glassware and barware appropriately.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs in time.
• Handle all forms of payment and balance the cash bank at the end of the shift.
• Complete cashier reports, identify and resolve variances, submit receipts, and secure cash and valuables.
• Protect liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Carry out closing tasks and other duties assigned by supervisors.
• Follow company, safety, and security procedures, including incident reporting and required training.
• Maintain a polished appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
• Welcome guests warmly, respond to service needs, and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
• Build effective working relationships and help the team achieve shared goals.
• Meet quality standards and perform physical tasks required throughout the shift, including standing for long periods and moving objects up to 50 pounds.

Skills and working style

The role calls for strong beverage service skills, attention to detail, cash handling accuracy, guest-focused communication, teamwork, cleanliness, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Preferred qualification

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with at least 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory experience is required, and no license or certification is needed.
