MIS Analyst

Role Overview

This position is for an MIS Analyst based in Raipur. The role sits within the Management Information Systems function and focuses on turning business data into clear, useful reports that help leadership make better decisions. The ideal candidate should bring strong Excel capability, comfort with reporting platforms, and the ability to build accurate dashboards and insights.

What You’ll Do

• Gather data from different business teams and bring it into a structured format for analysis.
• Prepare routine MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for management review.
• Build, update, and maintain dashboards and performance tracking reports.
• Review information across sales, operations, inventory, finance, and other functions to identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain high data quality by checking accuracy, consistency, and timeliness before sharing reports.
• Look for opportunities to streamline reporting and automate repetitive tasks.
• Work with various departments to collect, verify, and reconcile information.
• Create one-off reports and analyses whenever management needs them.
• Maintain databases properly and keep report documentation organized and up to date.
• Provide decision-support insights and recommendations to assist business planning.

Skills and Requirements

• Very strong Excel knowledge, including pivot tables, lookup functions, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, charts, and dashboards.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Hands-on experience in MIS reporting and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Google Sheets, or Tableau will be helpful.
• Basic familiarity with SQL or ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong focus on accuracy, detail, and timely delivery.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting tasks within deadlines.
• Graduation in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience of 2 to 4 years in an MIS Analyst, MIS Executive, Data Analyst, or reporting-related role.
• Experience with ERP platforms and business reporting tools is an advantage.

Eligibility

Any graduate may apply, although candidates with degrees such as B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc., BE/B.Tech, or similar backgrounds and strong analytical ability are especially suitable.
