Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Merchandiser position is based in Varanasi. The selected person will represent the company in customer interactions and ensure that communication remains prompt, professional, and smooth throughout the entire order journey.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves working as a communication bridge between buyers and internal teams so that customer expectations are understood clearly and carried through accurately.

• Handle day-to-day communication with customers and buyers in a clear, timely, and professional manner.
• Coordinate closely with the production manager, design team, rug inspectors, packing lead, and other departments to keep work aligned with customer needs.
• Prepare and maintain order calendars, production schedules, and follow-up trackers.
• Monitor production progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Keep customer information, order details, and progress updates organized in Excel reports.
• Manage multiple orders at once while prioritizing tasks effectively.

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel for reporting, tracking, and updates.
• Comfortable creating and managing calendars, schedules, and follow-up plans.
• Ability to coordinate efficiently across customers and internal teams.
• Capable of handling several tasks and orders simultaneously while learning to prioritize well.
• Prior exposure to merchandising, exports, textiles, rugs, or home furnishings is preferred.
• Preference for candidates based in or willing to work from Varanasi.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, on-site role. The company expects the merchandiser to be a key point of contact for clients and to help ensure execution runs smoothly across departments.
