Role summary
This Medic position supports the Safety Manager in delivering an iron ore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The job follows an 8/6 roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities
- Manage emergency response coordination for all onsite incidents.
- Deliver first aid, fire, and emergency response training at the site.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with applicable legislation and statutory obligations.
- Oversee and maintain emergency stock, vehicles, devices, and related equipment onsite.
- Provide medical treatment and support to employees.
- Encourage and assist with site health and safety programs.
About you
- You bring at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the mining or resources sector.
- You hold a tertiary qualification as a Paramedic or Nurse.
- You have completed Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response and Rescue.
- You also hold Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Care.
- You have prior experience as an ERT member, or you can demonstrate experience leading ERT coordination and training.
- You are proactive and able to approach problems with practical creativity.
- You communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, and Word.
