Role overview

Netflix is looking for a Manager, Production Management to join the India Production team and help support a growing slate of Unscripted Originals. This position works across development through final delivery, coordinating closely with production, creative, finance, legal, safety, post-production, marketing, publicity, and outside production partners.

The role is central to reviewing production approaches, checking budgets and schedules, spotting risks early, and helping each project deliver ambitious creative outcomes in a practical and efficient way. As the unscripted slate grows in scale and complexity, this person will help manage several productions at once and strengthen operational consistency across the team.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of unscripted production environments, the ability to recognize risks and opportunities early, and a calm, solutions-focused approach in a fast-moving setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned Netflix Unscripted Originals from early development all the way through delivery.
• Work in close coordination with the Unscripted Production Management Lead on planning, execution, and slate-wide operational priorities.
• Review production plans, budgets, schedules, staffing models, and operating approaches.
• Collaborate with production companies to improve efficiency without weakening creative goals.
• Assist with feasibility checks and operational risk reviews during development and greenlight conversations.
• Keep stakeholders informed on production progress, emerging issues, major decisions, and cost impact.
• Support projects throughout prep, filming, post-production, and delivery stages.
• Align internal teams and external partners around key decisions and next steps.
• Help build and roll out workflows, best practices, and operational standards for the unscripted slate.
• Contribute to improvements in production methods, technology adoption, sustainability efforts, and workflow evolution.
• Independently manage productions while escalating material risks, significant decisions, and business consequences when needed.

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of practical production experience in unscripted TV, streaming content, documentary projects, reality formats, factual entertainment, competition formats, or large-scale live production.
• Background as an Executive Producer or in an equivalent senior leadership position on multiple long-form productions.
• Proven track record of handling productions from development through delivery.
• Strong capability in budgeting, scheduling, and production planning.
• Solid understanding of the specific challenges in unscripted production, including multi-camera setups, competition formats, documentary-style work, large cast or contestant coordination, and location-heavy shoots.
• Good grasp of production workflows, crew structures, vendor networks, and operational processes.
• Ability to identify issues early and turn them into workable solutions.
• Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management ability.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to juggle several projects and priorities at once.
• High attention to detail and strong operational discipline.
• Ability to work with confidentiality and sound judgment.
• Comfort working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and production management tools.
• Additional familiarity with post-production workflows, production technology, cloud-based tools, remote collaboration, emerging AI use in content production, international productions, sustainability practices, health and safety, duty of care, and production risk management is preferred.
