Role overview
As the Manager, Operational Risk, you will oversee how operational risk is managed across the organisation. Your focus will span framework design, business guidance, control monitoring and governance support.
The role is central to improving risk maturity and making sure operational risk practices remain aligned with regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and improve the Operational Risk Management Framework so it remains aligned with relevant regulatory obligations, including APRA CPS 230.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business teams by reviewing and challenging controls, incident management and risk-in-change activities.
- Produce risk reporting and insights based on data for executive stakeholders and governance committees.
What you need to bring
To be successful in this position, you should have substantial experience in operational risk within financial services, along with a strong understanding of prudential regulation and the confidence to work with senior leaders.
You will also stand out if you have experience strengthening risk capability across first-line and second-line functions, exposure to payments or wider financial services, and the ability to lead, influence and drive change.
