About the Role
Woolley Grange, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is looking for a Linen Porter to support housekeeping operations at The Ickworth in Suffolk. This permanent role sits within the housekeeping team and plays an important part in helping the hotel maintain smooth day-to-day service, well-kept rooms, and reliable linen availability.
You will be responsible for moving clean and soiled linen, checking the condition of items, keeping stock levels accurate, and maintaining orderly linen and service areas. The role also involves working with other departments to support quick room turnarounds and providing polite, professional guest interaction when needed.
This position is for 40 hours per week and requires flexibility for early starts, evening shifts, and weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect used linen and towels from guest bedrooms and shared areas.
- Check items for marks, damage, or wear and pass any concerns on to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Neatly fold and stack clean linen and towels so they are ready for use.
- Move fresh linen and towels to the correct storage points and restock guest rooms and public spaces when required.
- Help keep the linen room and laundry areas tidy, organised, and functional.
- Work closely with Housekeeping and Front Office teams so linen collection and delivery happen on time and match guest needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a similar hospitality role is helpful, although it is not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational ability.
- Comfort working efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Clear communication and a team-focused approach.
- The physical ability to lift and carry heavier loads.
Benefits
- Hourly pay of £12.71, plus a generous service charge and a strong benefits package.
- Ongoing training and development, including support through hospitality apprenticeship partners.
- One additional day of holiday for your birthday.
- Access to EarlyPay for early access to part of your earned salary when needed.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Help@Hand wellbeing support with same-day remote GP appointments, mental health support, and physiotherapy.
- Life assurance cover for added peace of mind.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity support.
- One paid day each year for volunteering or fundraising activity.
- Access to the LFH Benefit Hub for retail discounts.
- 50% discount on food and beverage, and spa services across Luxury Family Hotels.
- Discounted hotel stays for you, your friends, and your family.
