About the company
Team Global Express NZ provides freight forwarding, end-to-end transport, and broad logistics services to customers across New Zealand, from Kaitaia through to Invercargill.
Role overview
The Wellington branch is seeking a Class 5 Linehaul Driver to support collection and delivery work for one of its major customers. The position is focused on moving freight safely, on time, and in line with delivery targets.
Working pattern
This is a night shift role running Monday to Friday, from 7:00 pm to 5:30 am.
You must also be available for public holidays when needed and remain flexible for weekend cover if ferry disruptions affect routes.
Key duties
- Handle freight carefully and safely, including manual loading and unloading or forklift use when needed.
- Make sure freight reaches its destination without damage.
- Scan every item you handle and ensure freight movement is fully recorded.
- Complete pickups and deliveries on schedule and in full.
- Follow all safety rules, processes, and site procedures at all times.
- Drive legally and safely at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and well presented inside and out.
Required experience and credentials
- A current full New Zealand Class 5 licence is essential.
- A Dangerous Goods endorsement is required.
- A forklift licence with an OSH certificate is required.
- You should bring a strong customer-first approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
- Experience driving on New Zealand roads is expected.
