Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for a Learning Development and Delivery Specialist supporting hospitals and health care operations. The role is fully remote and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST for a three-month engagement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead virtual training sessions with a strong presence, strong relationship-building ability, and a welcoming approach that helps new hires feel comfortable and supported.
- Partner with teams to strengthen the skills of both new and current employees in a call center hub environment.
- Run high-volume onboarding programs and help large groups of learners get up to speed within aggressive ramp-up timelines.
- Deliver virtual instructor-led training as needed to match an accelerated release schedule.
- Conduct engaging Zoom and Microsoft Teams sessions using effective classroom management and learner engagement techniques that encourage participation and retention.
- Work alongside the Learning Business Partner to help implement the learning strategy.
- Review learning outcomes and recommend curriculum updates when improvements are needed.
- Track learner readiness, training feedback, quality indicators, and performance results to improve overall training impact.
- Develop and refresh job aids, presentations, quick reference tools, assessments, facilitator guides, and related training materials.
- Turn complicated systems, workflows, and health care processes into clear, easy-to-follow training content.
- Stay informed about current training trends and apply relevant ideas to training delivery and design.
- Adjust quickly when content changes, priorities shift, materials are incomplete, or business needs evolve, while still maintaining a positive learner experience.
- Build the skills needed to operate as a Learning Business Partner by identifying training opportunities, consulting on business goals, and using a performance-improvement mindset, while remaining open to coaching and feedback.
Required Background
- A bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent practical experience, plus at least 5 years of learning and development experience focused on facilitation, onboarding, call centers, customer service, patient support, or operational training.
- Comfort and skill in both virtual and live facilitation, including Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office tools, along with the ability to work Central Time Zone hours.
- Experience delivering virtual instructor-led training to large audiences and supporting onboarding efforts at scale.
- Prior experience training teams in call center, customer service, patient support, health care hub, specialty pharmacy, payer, PBM, or similar health care operations settings is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning evaluation methods, with the ability to tailor delivery for different knowledge levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, handle moderately complex projects, and produce strong results under tight deadlines.
- Capability to break down complex processes and adjust training approaches in environments that are changing quickly or lack full clarity.
- Independent problem-solving skills with the ability to work within set guidelines and address technical issues with general direction.
Additional Information
This position pays $51.03 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, and the assignment is 100% remote. The contract term is 3 months.
