Kitchen Assistant

The role

Oceania’s Gracelands village in Hastings is hiring a casual Kitchen Assistant to support its committed team.

Key duties

• Help with food preparation and carry out day-to-day kitchen tasks.
• Support the healthcare team when meals are being served to residents.
• Provide consistently high-quality customer service.
• Continue building knowledge and improving skills through ongoing learning.

What you should bring

• Previous experience in a comparable position.
• Genuine enthusiasm for preparing food that is visually appealing and tastes excellent.
• Proven ability to deliver strong customer service.
• Comfort working across multiple tasks and managing time well.
• A cooperative, team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to established cleaning procedures.
• Availability to work rotating rostered shifts.
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
