Position Summary
Guggenheim is looking for a motivated Junior Trader to join the Fixed Income Structured Products Group (SPG) trading desk in Chicago. Reporting to the Head of Fixed Income Trading, this role supports senior SPG team members with trade idea analysis, P&L tracking, trade booking, review of offering materials, portfolio analysis, and collateral analysis. The position also involves close coordination with sales and operations teams to help service client requests and promote the product and sector.
Essential Job Functions
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in capital markets is preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, including advanced Excel and VBA macro usage, are required.
- Ability to evaluate risk and liquidity effectively is expected.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfort working independently or within a team in a fast-moving environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

- Sound judgment and a consistent commitment to integrity.
Work Location
This role is expected to be based in the Chicago office at least four days per week.
