Junior FreeCAD Designer (3D Modeling)

Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for a junior-level 3D designer working remotely and focusing on FreeCAD-based model creation. The work supports AI training initiatives and involves close coordination with the client’s team.

Compensation and Commitment

Pay is set at $20 to $110 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and polish 3D models in FreeCAD while collaborating with the customer’s team for AI training use cases.
• Carefully read and apply design briefs and technical requirements so the output matches the intended specifications.
• Share useful observations on model quality and how well the assets work for AI learning workflows.
• Record modeling methods and workflows clearly so the knowledge can be transferred within the project.
• Use written and spoken communication effectively to confirm requirements and relay insights.
• Revise work based on feedback until the models satisfy project expectations and standards.

Required Background

• Prior hands-on experience with 3D modeling and design work in FreeCAD is essential.
• A strong focus on detail and accurate geometric work is important.
• You should be able to communicate complex ideas clearly in both writing and speech.
• Comfort with technical directions and shifting project needs is necessary.
• Basic familiarity with engineering or design principles is expected.
