Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

This position is for a driven and detail-focused Junior Data Analyst who will help teams gather, clean, review, and interpret data to generate useful business insights. The role involves supporting day-to-day analysis work and contributing to better decision-making through accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

The analyst will work with multiple departments to structure information, spot trends, and translate raw data into clear outputs. Core duties include preparing reports and dashboards, carrying out basic analysis, checking data quality, and helping document analytical workflows.

In addition, the role includes validating information from different sources, assisting with report automation, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting improvements to data handling and analysis processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, a careful eye for detail, and the ability to work methodically with large datasets. A solid understanding of data analysis fundamentals, reporting approaches, and visualization concepts is expected.

Practical exposure to Excel or other spreadsheet tools, databases, or data analysis platforms is needed. Familiarity with SQL and data querying is preferred, while experience with tools such as Power BI or Tableau will be considered an added advantage.

Applicants should also be comfortable organizing tasks, meeting deadlines, identifying inconsistencies, solving problems logically, and collaborating effectively with different teams. A willingness to learn new tools and methods is important.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
