Role Overview
Poly Machinery Group (PMG) is looking for a detail-focused Junior Data Analyst to assist with gathering, reviewing, analyzing, and presenting data that supports business decisions. In this role, you will work with multiple teams to keep information organized, spot trends, and turn data into practical insights.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day work will involve collecting information from different sources, cleaning and checking it for accuracy, and preparing reports and dashboards. You will carry out basic analytical work, look for patterns or areas that can be improved, and provide dependable insights to support senior analysts and business teams.
You will also help with data quality validation, report automation, performance monitoring, and the ongoing improvement of data handling processes. Maintaining clear documentation of analysis methods and workflows will also be part of the role.
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate should be analytical, inquisitive, and careful with details, with the ability to handle large volumes of information in a structured manner. Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and a willingness to learn new tools and methods are important for success in this position.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A basic grasp of data analysis principles, reporting techniques, and data visualization concepts.
- Hands-on exposure to Excel, spreadsheets, databases, or other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, querying, and data management practices is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in data.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability with a methodical approach to work.
- Capability to organize information, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with teams across departments.
- Enthusiasm to learn new technologies, tools, and analytical approaches.
- A proactive, improvement-minded candidate who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and helping businesses make better decisions.
